Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about Lion Brand Yarn products, shipping, and services.
What is the best way to care for items knitted or crocheted with Lion Brand Yarn?
Care instructions vary by fiber content. Most of our acrylic and cotton blends are machine washable and dryable, while natural wools may require hand washing and laying flat to dry. Always check the specific care icons on your yarn label for the best results.
How can I find a matching dye lot for a project I've already started?
We recommend purchasing enough yarn for your entire project at once to ensure a perfect color match. If you need more, please contact our support team with the color name and dye lot number found on the label, and we will do our best to locate a match from our current inventory.
Do you offer international shipping for your products?
Yes, Lion Brand Yarn ships to many countries worldwide. Shipping costs and delivery times vary by location and are calculated at checkout. Please note that international orders may be subject to local customs duties and taxes.
What is your return policy for yarn and supplies?
We accept returns on unused yarn in its original condition (with labels intact) within 30 days of purchase. Please note that digital patterns, opened needles, and clearance items are final sale and cannot be returned.
How do I access digital patterns I have purchased?
Once your order is complete, you will receive an email with a download link. You can also access your digital patterns at any time by logging into your Lion Brand account and visiting the 'My Downloadable Products' section.
What should I do if I find a knot in my skein of yarn?
Knots are a standard part of the textile manufacturing process and are not considered a defect. However, if you find an excessive number of knots (more than three) in a single skein, please contact our customer service team for assistance.
